Susan Wood

Professor Wood is the author of three books of poetry, most recently Asunder, a National Poetry Series selection (Penguin 2001). Her second book, Campo Santo (LSU Press), won the Lamont Prize of the Academy of American Poets in 1991. She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Lannan Foundation and has had poems selected for The Pushcart Prize 2000 and Best American Poetry in 2000 and 2006. Her essays and poems have appeared in numerous anthologies and literary magazines, including The New Yorker, The Kenyon Review, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Gulf Coast, Five Points, The New England Review, TriQuarterly, and she is currently completing a new manuscript of poems, The Soul Bone.
