W.J. Herbert

Winner of the Anna Davidson Rosenberg Prize, W. J. Herbert was named as finalist for the 2019 Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship and the 2019 Patricia Cleary Miller Poetry Award from New Letters. Selected by Natasha Trethewey for inclusion in Best American Poetry 2017, her work also appears in Alaska Quarterly Review, Boulevard, New Ohio Review, Pleiades, Southwest Review, and elsewhere. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Southern California where she received a bachelor’s degree in studio art and a master’s degree in flute performance.
